In a wild opening round, #1 seed Purdue and #2 seed Arizona went down in flames, sending #16 Farleigh Dickenson and #15 Princeton on to the second round. Rose F., who has almost won the Ganza a couple times in recent years had both Purdue and Arizona... as well as #7 Texas A&M who lost to #10 Penn St. While Rose F. is not technically disqualified yet, despite losing 3 of her 4 teams right off the bat, for all intents and purposes you can consider her... gone... done... cooked... a loser. When asked for comment, Extravaganza Co-Chair Corey W. said, "It's been a tough couple days for Rose F.. We here at the Ganza offices support all of our participants, and will be here by her side until the end, or at least until Gonzaga loses."

Within hours of the Wildcat loss to Princeton, Arizona's REAL governor, Kari L. claimed election fraud, a conspiracy with the referees, and that dead people actually scored some of Princeton's points, meaning Arizona actually won the game. "I refuse to accept that an Ivy League school could beat us without cheating going on. Arizonans know BS when they see it. Rest assured I have assembled the best and brightest legal team, and we are exploring every avenue to correct the many wrongs that have been done. I'm doing everything in my power to fight these wrongs and fix all the damage Joe Biden has inflicted on this country. I am also looking forward to our next game on Saturday against Missouri."

Soon after her statement, long time Ganzans David G. and Maureen S. tried to weasel out of their Arizona picks. They were shut down.
